One of my favorite acquisitions from Half-Price Books is a hardbound anthology titled Fourteen British & American Poets which I bought from their bargain section for a dollar. It’s a nice book to toss in the bag between my notedpad and library books and great for bus rides. Today I spent an entire trip from South Congress up to UT reading these two poems, flipping between them. I don’t know why I got so crazy about Eliot when I could have started with Donne and Hopkins.
